Tonsillitis

The tonsils are two masses of tissues that act as filters, trapping germs and preventing infection in your airways. Tonsillitis occurs when your tonsils become overwhelmed by bacteria or virus and begin to swell and become inflamed.

  • Perform a throat swab to check for streptococcal bacteria
